Knoxville Lice Clinic is looking for part time team members!
No full time positions, we are offering 5-25 flexible hours per week.
Who Are We?
Knoxville Lice Clinic. We are located in Bearden.
We provide efficient and effective head lice treatments in our quality controlled, free-standing clinic (we do not travel to client homes).
Treatments usually take about an hour to an hour and a half. No harsh chemicals, pesticides, or toxins.
People who come to us are typically stressed and we make sure they feel calm and happy by the time they leave. Lice is no fun, but with our treatment, it is an easy problem to cure.
Over 99.5% of our treatments succeed. We are a locally owned small business.
Who are we looking for?
- Has reliable transportation, is punctual and responsive.
- Comfortable handling hair.
- Ability to stand for hours at a time.
- Positive, articulate, confident, empathetic, friendly, kind and compassionate!
- Ability to understand and explain scientific concepts.
- Likes to solve problems.
- Skilled with sales and customer service.
- Quick, but with meticulous attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Communicates effectively with both adults and children.
- Emotionally mature.
Experience: college student, a social worker, medical technician or assistant, nursing student, pre-med student, school teacher, nanny, or similar job type is helpful, but not necessary.
What does a Lice Clinician do?
- Provides treatment using our process and tools.
- Combs out lice and eggs from client hair.
- Provides head checks.
- Opens, closes, cleans.
- Conducts customer check-in, checkout and payment.
- Educates families on the Facts of Lice.
- Helps families select products that are right for their situation.
- Helps with local and online marketing efforts.
- Packages products.
- Answers phones and takes appointments.
- Other duties as assigned.
What are the Hours and Pay?
This job is an on-call part time position. We offer services by appointment only and clinicians only come into work when we have appointments. The number of hours is highly variable. Employees are required to be available during the times they are on call, but those hours are defined in advance by the employee.
We schedule your on-call shifts to flex around your standing commitments, such as school or childcare availability, and we group appointments whenever possible. If you are called into work but there is a customer no-show or an appointment ends quickly, we will still promise you at least a 2 hour shift. There are always things to do!
We will train you.
This is an excellent job for gaining clinical experience! Most of our clinicians are students.
Wages start at $14 an hour — plus tips and commission. There are opportunities for raises after you are fully trained and periodically thereafter. This is a w-2 position, not contractor.
