IN-CLINIC PROFESSIONAL LICE TREATMENT SERVICES IN KNOXVILLE, TN
We have treatment options for most budgets! Call 865-245-5353 for help customizing a plan for your family or to book an appointment.
HEAD CHECK (the first step)
$25
Before doing any treatments, the first step is to make sure that a treatment is necessary. We do a visual check and then we start combing section by section through the hair. We inspect anything suspicious under our microscope. If there are no lice, then high five! If there are lice, we credit the cost of the head check towards a Lice-Tech Heated Air Treatment or a Manual Saline Comb-Out.
- Head checks do not include additional combing after a positive case is determined.
- Negative cases are determined after we comb the entire head without finding lice or eggs.
- Head checks do not include a Treatment Goop application. Treatment Goop Application is available as an optional service for an additional $5 per oz of Treatment Goop applied.
LICE-TECH HeatED AIR Treatment
$189
*Note: This Price is Increasing to $225 on December 1, 2024*
One and Done! The treatment we are known for!
Ages 3 and up! This is our single appointment lice treatment option. After a positive Head Check, it is a 3-step process which includes a 30-minute Lice-Tech Heated Air Treatment, a 30-45 minute comb-out to remove the dead lice and eggs and a Treatment Goop application. This 3-step full-service treatment option ensures you will leave lice free with no follow-up needed. Most people find this to be as relaxing and soothing as a spa treatment.
Within 30 days of service, Optional additional single-pass comb-outs are $25 *Note: Optional Comb Out Price is Increasing to $35 on December 1, 2024*
There are some contraindications to treatment (see bottom of page for list).
We offer our Re-Treatment Guarantee for this service!
SHORT-FORM LICE-TECH HEATED AIR TREATMENT
$159
*Note: This Price is Increasing to $195 on December 1, 2024*
This option is only available to people who cannot have their hair combed out.
This single appointment 2-step process includes a 45-60 minute heated air treatment and Treatment Goop application. This is the only option for those with dreadlocks or hair that can’t be combed for reasons such as large matted knots, a tender head, fragile hair, or hair that is falling out (like from chemotherapy). The Lice-Tech heated air treatment kills all eggs/nits, but does not remove the dead debris. The eggs/nits will not hatch. The Treatment Goop ensures there are no lice that can lay further eggs.
We cannot offer comb-outs or rechecks for this service.
We do not offer our Re-Treatment Guarantee for this service.
MANUAL SALINE COMB-OUT
$189
*Note: This Price is Increasing to $225 on December 1, 2024*
- Three years old and up or hair longer than a buzz cut
$105
*Note: This Price is Increasing to $125 on December 1, 2024*
- Under age 3 or buzz cuts
Our Saline Comb Out is available only when a Lice-Tech Heated Air Treatment is contraindicated.
This treatment requires 2 visits (both included in treatment price). Visits must be spaced 7-10 days apart.
This treatment is a four step process. We do a very thorough comb-out using our Slippery Nit Saline Spray to remove the nits and then we apply Treatment Goop to kill the bugs. We schedule the second half of the treatment 7-10 days later to do another comb-out and application of Treatment Goop.
This includes up to 80 minutes of combing on the initial visit and 30 minutes of combing during the second visit. Any nit load requiring more than 80 minutes of combing will fall under our Extreme Infestation Fee, and there will be an additional charge of $50 per 30 minutes of combing required to complete the appointment.
We offer our Re-Treatment Guarantee for this service!

Surcharges for Severe Infestation, Goop-n-Go, Extra Long Hair, and/or Extra Combing
Severe Infestation:
If a person is found to have a severe infestation, we charge a $50 fee. This is to help offset the cost of additional resources and cleanup, as well as treating our clinician after your treatment, since severe infestations make it likely that they will catch lice while helping get you lice free. Severe infestations may also require extra combing, charged separately, as listed below.
Goop-n-Go:
If there are too many sores (or any amount of infected sores) on the scalp, we will do a “Goop-n-Go” which is to kill the hatched lice and allow the sores to heal prior to doing the service (usually just a few days are needed). The price is $5 per ounce of goop used and it is in addition to the standard cost of the head check. Goop-n-Go is not available as a stand-alone service but must be combined with the head check. This may or may not be a “Severe Infestation” and is a separate charge.
Extra Long Hair:
Hair under three feet in length is covered under our usual prices. For every foot over three feet in length, prices are as follows:
- Head checks are an additional $25 per foot of hair
- Treatments are an additional $100 per foot of hair
We do not charge extra for extra curly, textured, or thick hair, but we appreciate a heads-up so that we can get you a clinician experienced with technically difficult hair.
Extra Combing:
If combing is necessary beyond the 90 minutes scheduled for your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate that. Sometimes we have other appointments and cannot go past your time and will reschedule. Extra combing past 90 minutes is $50 per 30 minutes.
